Service Fee Terms and Conditions

1. Service Fee Overview

Rental PH charges a service fee of 5% (five percent) on all rental transactions processed through the Platform. This fee is calculated based on the total rental amount (excluding deposit) and is payable by the renter.

2. Fee Calculation

The service fee is calculated as follows:

Service Fee = Rental Subtotal × 5%

Example: If the rental subtotal is ₱100,000, the service fee would be ₱5,000.

3. When the Fee is Charged

  • The service fee is charged at the time of payment when a renter accepts a quote.
  • The fee is included in the total payment amount displayed before confirmation.
  • The fee is non-refundable once the transaction is completed.

4. Use of Service Fee

The service fee supports:

  • Platform operation and maintenance
  • Customer support services
  • Transaction processing and security
  • Payment gateway fees
  • Platform development and improvements

5. Payment Processing

  • The service fee is collected by the Platform at the time of payment.
  • The remaining rental amount (after deducting the service fee) is held by the Platform.
  • The rental amount is released to the equipment owner within 3 business days after payment, unless the renter confirms the transaction earlier.

6. Refund Policy

  • Service fees are generally non-refundable once a transaction is completed.
  • If a transaction is cancelled before completion, the service fee may be refunded at the Platform's discretion.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction date.
  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days of approval.

7. Fee Changes

The Platform reserves the right to modify the service fee percentage. Any changes will be:

  • Communicated to users at least 30 days in advance
  • Displayed clearly before payment confirmation
  • Applied only to new transactions after the effective date

8. Dispute Resolution

9. Governing Law

These Service Fee Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
